I am Ellie Balfe, an award winning professional makeup artist with 17 years experience of working in all genres of makeup from film and TV to weddings and fashion.
Every day, my work brings me face to face with real women, both in and out of the public eye, who all have one thing in common; the desire to look good in the most natural, yet beautiful and polished way.
I offer a range of bespoke makeup courses and makeup artistry for the advertising and fashion industry as well as making people up for weddings and events.
As a trusted industry insider, I write beauty articles and frequently sit on the judging panels for beauty awards. My own beauty and lifestyle blog, Ellie loves... showcases all the things that inspire me and I was recently named as a 'credible and influential blogger' by Handpicked Media in the UK and won Best Irish Blogger 2010 in the entertainment.ie annual awards. I am currently the Acting Beauty Editor for IMAGE Magazine - Ireland's leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle title.
My years in the industry have not dulled my passion for what I do. I still get excited by new makeup products and the joy of making someone look beautiful and therefore feel better about themselves has never waned. I don't think it ever will! I hope you enjoy browsing through my website...
